One dedicated person, always the same one
"Travel is not about reaching a place — it's about finding a place that belongs to you."
We are an independent travel agency on the doorstep of Milan, specialised in itineraries built around your desires. We don't sell packages: we listen, design, and take care of every detail.
From flights to wedding lists, from study trips to the most adventurous tours: every departure begins with a real conversation.
The history room
Every plaque is something that happened to the world, not to us. But each of these things changed the way people travel, and we were open every single time.
On 2 May a BOAC Comet takes off from London for Johannesburg with thirty-six passengers aboard: the world's first scheduled service flown by a jet aircraft.
Modern civil aviation is born. And so is the agency.
We open hereOn 26 October a Pan Am Boeing 707 links New York to Paris in a little over eight hours. America becomes reachable in a day instead of two.
The ocean stops being a barrier.
On 22 January the first jumbo crosses the Atlantic with over three hundred people aboard. The cost per passenger collapses and flying comes within reach of ordinary families.
Mass tourism is born, and the package holiday with it.
The producing countries' embargo quadruples the price of crude in a matter of months. Airlines cut routes, and fuel becomes the item that decides the price of a ticket.
We learn that travel depends on geopolitics.
The Airline Deregulation Act strips the state of its power to set routes and fares. Price competition is born, along with the model Europe would copy fifteen years later.
The ticket becomes a commodity with a moving price.
Five European countries sign away checks at their internal borders. It would come into force in 1995 and change the way people move around Europe for good.
Crossing a border stops being an event.
The conflict and the fear of attacks empty the aircraft for months. Several long-established airlines do not survive the following year.
The first time traffic stops out of fear.
The third liberalisation package lets any European carrier fly anywhere in the Union at whatever price it chooses. It is the rule the low-cost airlines would grow out of.
Flying stops being a luxury.
The first online booking portals appear. Within a few years anyone can compare twenty fares from the sofa, at any hour. In Italy thousands of agencies will close.
Access is no longer something you can sell.
United States airspace stays shut for days and demand collapses worldwide. Airport security changes for good, and with it the timing of every departure.
Travel as we know it today is born.
From the first of January twelve countries share the same currency. Comparing prices between European destinations becomes instant, and changing money is no longer necessary.
Europe becomes a single market.
Air traffic towards Asia contracts sharply for months. It is the dress rehearsal, almost ignored, for what would happen seventeen years later.
A virus can close a continent.
On 26 December the wave overwhelms the coasts of Thailand, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and the Maldives at the height of the tourist season. Thousands of European travellers are caught up in it.
Knowing where your clients are becomes vital.
Oil hits its all-time high in the summer and demand collapses in the autumn. Companies cut business trips, families shorten their holidays.
People travel less far, and for fewer days.
Ash from an Icelandic volcano closes European skies for six days: over a hundred thousand flights cancelled and around ten million passengers stranded. It is the largest European shutdown since the war.
Those who had booked alone were left alone.
On 23 September the world's oldest tour operator fails, leaving six hundred thousand people mid-trip. The United Kingdom mounts the largest civil repatriation in its history.
Even giants fall. What counts is who answers the phone.
International tourist arrivals fall by 74 per cent: one billion fewer travellers than the year before, according to the World Tourism Organization. It is the worst year in the history of tourism.
Months spent cancelling, not selling.
Demand comes back all at once but the staff do not: endless queues, luggage lost by the thousand, flights cancelled on the day at European airports.
Reopening was harder than closing.
A ten-day programme in Japan is generated by an artificial intelligence in thirty seconds. Information is no longer scarce: it is endless, and nobody checks it for you.
You need someone who answers when the plan falls apart.

A language stay is decided as a family, and everyone arrives with their own questions. Let's start there.
With a host family, chosen by the school and vetted: we know the name, the address and the phone number before departure, and so do you. Families host two students at most, and never two Italians together — otherwise they don't speak English.
They get to the gate with us or with you, depending on the option chosen. On arrival a member of the school staff recognises them and takes them to the family: they don't land alone in a city they don't know.
There is a number that stays open for the whole stay, and it is not a call centre: the person who organised that trip answers. Health insurance is included and covers the doctor, medicines and an early return if needed.
They won't come back bilingual, and anyone who promises you that is selling you something. What almost always happens is that something unlocks: they stop being afraid of getting it wrong. On their return you hear the difference in speaking long before grammar.
No, and it wouldn't even be a good thing. In class there are kids from all over Europe and the level is set by a test on day one, not by age. In the family, though, you are the only Italian: that's where English becomes compulsory.
Mornings are school, afternoons are excursions and sport, and there is at least one full-day trip a week. It isn't free time to fill: there is a programme, and you get it before you leave.
Yes, and it is a choice that changes the whole stay. Dublin and London are big and lively; Galway, Cork and Brighton are human-sized and you get around on foot. If it's your first time away on your own, the second kind works better.
There's wi-fi at the family's house and at school. For the rest, a prepaid card in your own name is the sensible choice: families don't handle cash, and this way your parents can see what you spend without having to call you.
Where you go
Dublin, Galway, Cork: the Celtic land is the perfect place to immerse yourself in English. Certified schools and carefully selected families.
See the programme →London, Brighton, Oxford: culture, history and the English language in one of the most formative experiences for young people and adults.

Speak and Learn is a language school founded in Sesto San Giovanni in 2007, with a method built around conversation. Since 2017 it has been an accredited Cambridge exam preparation centre.

Ireland is the closest English-speaking country to us, and for many teenagers it is their first real trip alone. English is spoken everywhere, but at a slower pace and with a warmth that puts even the most nervous traveller at ease. Distances are short, the cities are human-sized and the countryside begins minutes from the centre.
It rains often but rarely for long: summer highs sit around twenty degrees and daylight stretches to almost eleven at night. You need light layers and a waterproof jacket, not a winter coat.
Live music in pubs is an everyday affair and open to everyone, including under-18s until a certain hour. It is the most natural way to meet locals without feeling like a tourist.
The west coast is only a few hours by coach from Dublin. Schools organise weekend excursions to the cliffs, the national parks and the coastal villages.
The capital, with the widest choice of schools and the liveliest student scene. Ideal for those who want museums, concerts and movement. It is also the most expensive option for accommodation.
A university city on the Atlantic coast, small and full of life, with pedestrian streets full of musicians. The favourite of anyone looking for a more intimate but far from sleepy setting.
The country’s second city, less frequented by Italian groups — which is exactly why it is the best option if the real aim is to speak English rather than fall back on fellow countrymen.
We book the flight from the most convenient airport and arrange the transfer from the airport to the host family or campus, with a welcome on arrival.
Recognised schools, a placement test on day one, international classes and a final certificate. On request we also prepare the path towards a recognised qualification.
Families selected and visited in person, with full board and a single or twin room. Alternatively a student residence for older participants. Phone support in Italian throughout.

The United Kingdom remains the benchmark for studying English: the choice of schools is the widest in Europe and the certificates earned here are recognised everywhere. It is also the country where the accent changes every hundred kilometres — and that, more than any exercise, trains the ear to understand for real.
Since Brexit an ID card is no longer enough: a valid passport is required. No visa is needed for stays under six months, but minors travelling without their parents must carry a letter of consent.
From London to Manchester to Edinburgh the pronunciation changes radically. It is an initial difficulty that becomes the real advantage of the stay: you learn to listen, not just to repeat.
The great national collections — British Museum, National Gallery, Science Museum — are free to enter. A free afternoon is never a wasted or an expensive one.
Everything, always, at any hour. Maximum cultural offering and maximum exposure to international English. Bear in mind: long journeys across the city and a high cost of living.
An hour from the capital, on the sea, young and informal. The schools are a few steps from the beach and the city is walkable: the calmest choice for a first stay.
Stays in the historic colleges during the summer break, with an academic atmosphere hard to find elsewhere. Suited to those already motivated who want a more structured setting.
Flights from the main Italian airports and a private or shared transfer to the accommodation, with our contact person reachable at any time.
British Council accredited schools, small classes and preparation courses for IELTS, Cambridge and Trinity for those aiming at a usable qualification.
Selected families with full board, or campus residences with a canteen and supervision for under-18s. Afternoon activities and excursions always included.

Themed departures, in a small group, with a Rondò host and a guest travelling with you. The programme is already built: all you have to do is be there.
You don't always have to travel. Days and evenings to spend together close to home: we book for the group and take care of the rest.
We travel in small numbers: no queues, and by the end of the trip you actually know each other.
We organise visits, activities and nights. Flights and price are on request: we work them out together before departure.
Every departure has a theme and someone who knows it well, travelling with the group.

In the meantime, if you have a cruise or a resort in mind, call us: we can book it right now.

Done. As soon as dates and price are set we will write to you.
People who travel for work need different things from people going on holiday: schedules that change at the last minute, flights to rebook, expense reports to close. We have handled business trips for local companies since 1952, with one contact who knows your habits and doesn't start from scratch every time.
// 01 — What you get
One dedicated person, always the same one
Outside office hours too, while you are travelling
Electronic invoicing and monthly summaries
Negotiated rates on agreed volumes
Behind your contact there is the whole agency: if they are unavailable, the rest of the team answers, with the same picture of your trip in front of them.
// 02 — A day on the road
Six moments of an ordinary day, as seen by the traveller and by us.
Taxi booked last night, but the flight has been moved twenty minutes earlier and nobody told the driver.
The schedule change reaches us from the booking system: we move the transfer and send the new time before the alarm goes off.
There are twenty-two people ahead at the check-in desk and the flight closes in forty minutes.
Boarding pass issued, frequent flyer number and usual seat already attached to the profile: straight through to security.
The return flight leaves at 15:20 and changing it at the desk costs as much as a new ticket.
When the diary is uncertain we book on a changeable fare: you move the flight by paying the difference, not the whole thing.
Two hundred passengers queuing at the same help desk, and tomorrow morning's meeting is in Milan.
We see the cancellation first. While the queue is still forming, the rebooking is already on another service.
Yesterday's hotel is full and the booking sites want a personal card, which then has to be reimbursed.
We add the night to the same file, on the company agreement: nothing paid out of pocket, no extra expense report.
Receipts, boarding passes and slips still to be dug out of pockets and suitcase.
Flight, hotel and transfers are already in the monthly summary, split by cost centre. Accounts has nothing to reconstruct.
// 03 — Company agreement
Tell us how much you travel and where: we will put together terms that fit and assign you a contact. No commitment, no set-up fee.

This site requires no registration and does not profile visitors. We collect data only when you send it through one of the contact forms: name, e-mail address, phone number if you provide it, and whatever you choose to write in the message (destination, dates, number of travellers, participant age in the study-trip forms, travel preferences, notes).
When you press “I want it” on a trip in the showcase, the planner also sends us that trip’s itinerary and the dates you enter.
Please do not enter health data, religious beliefs or other special categories of data (Art. 9 GDPR) in the forms. If we need them to organise your trip we will ask separately, with appropriate safeguards.
As with any website, the hosting server records technical connection data (IP address, browser type, date and time of the request) for security and diagnostics.
We send no newsletter and run no automated marketing. Should that change, we will ask for separate, revocable consent.
Data you submit through the forms is transmitted to Formspree, Inc. (United States), which forwards messages to our mailbox as our data processor. The transfer relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (United States), which processes technical connection data and anonymous statistics as our data processor. Vercel participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, found adequate by the European Commission in its decision of 10 July 2023. Form messages reach the agency’s mailbox on Microsoft 365 (Outlook), provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited as our data processor; Microsoft participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. A copy of the requests sent through the forms, and the record of privacy choices, are kept in a database run by Supabase (Supabase Pte. If you write to us on WhatsApp, the messaging service is provided by WhatsApp Ireland Limited under its own privacy policy: we use the conversation only to answer your request and, if you become our customer, to manage the trip.
We may also share data with: the suppliers that make up your trip (airlines, hotels, tour operators, insurers, language schools) where necessary to perform the contract; our accountant and advisors for legal compliance; public authorities where the law requires it.
We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for commercial purposes.
Trips outside the European Union. If your trip involves a non-EU country, the strictly necessary data (names, dates, travel documents) are passed to suppliers and, where the law requires, to that country’s authorities, for example for visas or for the passenger data required by airlines. The transfer is necessary to perform the contract you asked for (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR) or to comply with a legal obligation; for many of these countries there is no adequacy decision of the European Commission.
If you become our customer, you will receive a specific privacy notice on the data needed for the trip when the contract is signed.
To display photographs and flags, to run the interactive map and to search for cities and places, the site calls content hosted by Unsplash, Flagcdn, cdnjs (Cloudflare), jsDelivr, Nominatim/OpenStreetMap and Open-Meteo. When your browser loads that content, those providers see your IP address. The Cookie Policy lists them all, what each one is for and how to limit them.

If you believe the processing breaches the law you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome — garanteprivacy.it) or with your national supervisory authority, or go to court.
You can withdraw your consent to the interactive map at any time from the privacy preferences; withdrawal does not affect what happened before.
Providing data is voluntary. Name and e-mail address are however necessary for us to reply: without them we cannot act on your request.

Some forms ask for the number and age of children travelling, and the study-trip forms ask the participant’s age. This information must be entered by a parent or guardian, who is responsible for its accuracy. In Italy a minor can validly consent to information-society services only from the age of fourteen (Art. 2-quinquies of the Italian Privacy Code): below that age an adult must submit the enquiry. We process this data only to organise the trip and retain it for the periods set out in section 6.
This site uses no profiling cookies and no advertising pixels. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, nothing comparable.
There is one statistics tool, Vercel Web Analytics, and it is anonymous: it sets no cookies, keeps no IP address and cannot recognise you on another site. It tells us which pages are read and from which country. The detail is in section 4.
Two technical items, saved in your browser's local storage: your answer to the banner (rv_consent), so we do not ask again on every visit, and the language you are reading in (rv_lingua), if you pick one other than Italian. They hold no personal data and stay on your device.
rv_consent records the date of your choice, the version of the policy you were shown and your answer category by category. If the policy changes substantially, your earlier answer no longer covers it and the banner comes back. You can delete all of it by clearing the site data in your browser settings.
Technical storage of this kind does not require prior consent (Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code).
Some parts of the site call resources hosted elsewhere. These are not cookies, but loading them does mean the provider sees your IP address:
| Provider | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Unsplash | Destination photographs (via the Unsplash API) | USA |
| Flagcdn | National flags | EU |
| Nominatim / OpenStreetMap | Looking up coordinates of cities and places | EU |
| Formspree | Forwarding contact forms (only when you submit) | USA · Standard Contractual Clauses |
| cdnjs (Cloudflare) | D3 and TopoJSON libraries for the interactive map | USA |
| jsDelivr | Geographic data for national borders | EU / USA |
| Open-Meteo | City search in the trip planner | EU |
| Vercel | Hosts the site and counts visits anonymously | USA / EU · Data Privacy Framework |
The other photographs (from Wikimedia Commons and our own), the showcase videos and the proposal pages are stored on our site: they load without any request to third parties.
Record of choices. When you answer the banner, and when you confirm the privacy notice in a form, we save one line in a record: a random code, date and time, notice version, language, page and the choice made. We do not save your IP address or any other data that identifies you; in forms the same code appears in the email we receive. This lets us demonstrate consent, as Art. 7(1) GDPR requires (legal basis: legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c)). The record is kept in a private database run by Supabase on servers in Ireland (EU) for 5 years.
Typefaces are embedded in the site and are not downloaded from external servers.
The libraries loaded from CDNs are protected by Subresource Integrity: the browser checks the file’s cryptographic hash and refuses it if altered.
The banner has three buttons: Decline all, Customise and Accept all. Declining takes the same single click as accepting, and until you choose nothing optional is loaded.
There is one optional category, Maps and place lookup: the interactive world map (the D3 and TopoJSON libraries from cdnjs, national borders from jsDelivr) and the lookup of city and place coordinates (Nominatim/OpenStreetMap and Open-Meteo). Left off, the map is not downloaded — a panel with a button to turn it on appears in its place — and the planner uses only the coordinates already stored in the site.
Photographs and flags have no switch: they are the content of these pages, they load from Unsplash and Flagcdn, who see your IP address, and they set no cookies. If you would rather they were not loaded at all, you can block external requests in your browser settings or with an extension, without breaking navigation.
The statistics have no switch, and the reason is that they do not need one: Vercel Web Analytics writes nothing to your device, keeps no IP address and cannot follow you elsewhere. What remains of a visit is the date and time, the page opened, the site you came from, the country, the browser and the device type; the link to an individual is a fingerprint discarded after 24 hours. The processing rests on the legitimate interest in knowing which pages are read (Art. 6.1.f GDPR) and you can object at any time by writing to info@rondoviaggi.com.
You can change your mind at any time: reopen the preferences.
The pages link to Facebook, Instagram, Google Maps and Apple Maps. These are plain links: nothing loads until you open them. Once opened, those services' own notices apply.
This site belongs to Rondò Viaggi S.r.l., a travel agency and tour operator at Piazza IV Novembre 45, 20099 Sesto San Giovanni (MI), Italy, VAT 07408980964, entered in the Milan Companies Register under REA no. 1956752, share capital EUR 20,000.00 fully paid up.
The business operates under notification of commencement (SCIA) no. 52151 of 6 March 2014, filed with the Municipality of Milan. Technical director: Ivan Singia.
Professional liability: policy no. 5048701SS, Sara Assicurazioni. As a guarantee against insolvency and bankruptcy (Art. 47 of Italian Legislative Decree 79/2011 and Art. 17 of Directive (EU) 2015/2302) the agency is a member of the Fondo Vacanze Felici fund, no. 1095.
These pages are informative and promotional. Nothing can be bought or booked online: destination guides, itineraries, services and forms exist so that your enquiry reaches us, after which we send a quote and, if you accept it, a written contract.
No content on this site constitutes an offer to the public within the meaning of Art. 1336 of the Italian Civil Code.
The showcase trips on the home page and the proposals you can browse in the window are examples of trips we have designed and booked for other travellers: they show how we work. They state no prices or dates, are not offers to the public, and every trip is quoted to measure, subject to availability at the time.
Descriptions, tips and notes on climate, documents, currency, vaccinations and safety are provided purely for information and may change without notice. Before departure only official sources are authoritative: the Italian Foreign Ministry's Viaggiare Sicuri, the diplomatic missions of the destination country, and your health authority. Consular decisions on visas are final and independent of anything we do.
Contracts are governed by the Italian Tourism Code (Legislative Decree 79/2011), implementing Directive (EU) 2015/2302 on package travel. Before the contract is concluded you receive the standard information form required by the directive, stating whether you are buying a package and what rights follow, together with the general terms and the details of the insolvency guarantee.
For travel services the fourteen-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply: it is expressly excluded by Art. 59(1)(n) of the Italian Consumer Code for transport, accommodation and leisure services with a specific date. Cancellation terms are those set out in the contract and in each supplier's conditions.
Any amounts shown are in euro, indicative, and not binding until you receive a written quote. The final price depends on availability, season, number of travellers and supplier rates at the time of confirmation.

Send complaints to info@rondoviaggi.com; we reply within thirty days. Failing agreement you may turn to an ADR body listed by the Italian Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy. The European ODR platform was decommissioned on 20 July 2025 and is no longer available.
For consumer relationships the competent court is that of the consumer's residence or domicile. Italian law applies.
We work to keep the site usable by everyone, taking WCAG 2.1 level AA as our reference. If you hit an obstacle, tell us at info@rondoviaggi.com and we will address it as soon as we can.
We may update these notes at any time. The version published here is the one in force. Where translations differ, the Italian text prevails.
